My walking stops.
My breathing nearly stops.
And I force my body still…
Standing at the edge of the woods,
Smells and Noise.
On the edge of dying day,
Spent and Waning.
With cold air filling my lungs,
Here & Gone.
I feel the day leave me …I am going home
To breathe.
A whole day of longing for this
Single moment’s peace.
